Andrew is a senior research analyst for the Municipal Fixed Income Team, responsible for conducting fundamental credit analysis and contributing to relative value assessments with portfolio managers and traders. He is assigned to cover high-yield project financings and corporate-backed holdings. Andrew’s areas of expertise include airlines, forest and paper products, basic materials (including alternative energy projects), investor-owned utilities in the Southern United States, and special assessment and tax districts in the Southern and Northeast regions.
He started working in the financial services industry in 1991 and joined the firm in 1995 as a mutual fund accountant. Andrew has been a research analyst with Nuveen Asset Management since 1999. Previously, he spent two years as a financial planner for Waddell & Reed and also worked as an assistant to the chief financial officer of a start-up technology company in Portland, Oregon.
Andrew earned a B.A. in economics from Lewis & Clark College in Portland and an M.B.A. in finance from Loyola University, Chicago.
